Wootton Bassett-based Crapper and Sons Landfill Ltd has been named as Wiltshire’s most outstanding business.

The family-owned recycling and landfill company collected the coveted ‘Outstanding Excellence’ trophy at the 2018 Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards at a spectacular gala dinner at Center Parcs in Longleat Forest on Friday.

Alex Pinhey, partner at event sponsors Thrings and a member of the judging panel, presented the award to managing director Richard Crapper in front of more than 350 of the county’s leading entrepreneurs, SMEs and organisations.

The accolade rounded off a hugely successful evening for Crapper and Sons, who were also named as runners-up in the Medium-Sized Enterprise of the Year category and shortlisted for the Corporate, Social & Environmental Responsibility award.
