The Environment Agency is consulting on proposed amendments to techniques for flexible gas generation in England, using Article 14(6) of the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) as the framework where no BAT conclusions are published.
We’re seeking views on a new category of mid-merit gas generators, which would allow longer operating hours than current open cycle combustion plant limits (1,500 hrs/year). The aim is to incentivise deployment of efficient, low-NOx flexible gas generation by offering more running hours to operators who meet specific criteria.
